Brian Tracy 7 Cs
Brian Tracy 7 cs. Clarity, competence, concentration, constraints, continuous learning, commitment and courage. This is a summary base on my understanding and opinion.
Clarity
Clarity is being coherent, it’s being capable of being understood. This is where you decide exactly what you want. You write it down. You set a deadline. You make a List. You organized this Checklist. You take action on this list. And you do something on the most important goal.
Competence
Competence is the ability to do something efficiently. This is where you break down the skills needed. You work on building one skill at the time. So You don’t overwhelm yourself with everything.
Concentration
Concentration is the ability to focus one’s attention. This is where you focus like a laser bean on one thing. here is the time where you apply self discipline. When you starting something new, everything is hard before it gets easy.
I got a good laugh when Brian Tracy said, eat the frog first thing in the morning. Meaning that you should do the most dreaded and important task first and just get it over with. Just complete the difficult task first and the rest of the day should be easier.
It not only help you with procrastination but also give you a sense of accomplishment. Since you reach your goal faster this way by taking action.
Constraints
Constraints is a restriction or limitation. This is where you identify what’s the limiting factor that determines the speed at which a goal can be completed. This is where you find what’s holding you back.
Once you know the constraints. You take a step to alleviate one factor. Think of the 80/20 rule if this help.
Continuous learning
Continuous learning just like words says, it basically the process of learning new skills, abilities and knowledge on an ongoing basis. Every day you should be listening and reading new stuff, new material.
Commitment
Commitment is being dedicate to a cause. This is where you put your whole heart into what you doing.
Courage
Courage is the ability to do something that you are afraid off. Face your fears. No matter the risk and failures you keep going. You never give up. If you never give up you eventually must succeed.
