How to do something when you don’t feel like doing it?
Sometime we know we have to do something but we just don’t do it. You are not lazy. There are two possible reason that comes to mind at this moment.
Fear
One is fear. You are afraid of the outcome that you will get if you do that task. We are afraid to change. We get comfortable to a certain lifestyle and even though we might want something else, you don’t want to go through the changing process.
Limited energy
Our energy is limited. As we do things throughout the day we use energy. You can call this energy willpower, focus, energy whatever you want. The point is that it’s limited and eventually you run out of it . In order to replenish this energy you have to sleep
Solution
Do the task that you don’t want to do right away after you wake up from sleep. You don’t even need to think about it, you just do it. Even if you don’t notice the moment that you wake up, you start using your energy. During this time you body have the most energy.
What’s going to happen eventually this will become a habit. Once this become a habit it will be hard not to do. When this happen you can move that task to another time of the day and you still will do it.
You can repeat the process with something else that you don’t feel like doing.
