Your mind fill in the blank base on your past experiences. When you encounter any situation, The brain fills in any missing information base on your past experiences to make sense of what’s happening.
People sometime perceive things that are not there. Also sometime people cannot see things that are there.
Example:
Have you even being has asked to get certain item from the kitchen. You go the kitchen you can’t find that certain item.
The person that asked you go to the kitchen where you are, go to the kitchen as well and point the finger to the item that you somehow is not able to find.
The item is right there in front of you, now you can see the item but before you could not.
That’s the brain fill in the blank base on your past experiences. In this case you might not want to find the item. So the brain remove the item from your vision.
Someone might ask why would I not want to find the item?
Well, have you being doing something really fun. Maybe like playing video games or watching a tv episode that you really love. Someone interrupt you and ask you to do or to find something in the kitchen.
You do go the kitchen but you don’t really wanted to go. The mind tends to finds a ways to support and adapt to your believe or situation.
