I could be wrong but what I understood from this is that instead of expending money buying best selling books, is better to invest that money into shares of the company that is publishing the books.
Which make sense because if you buy a book, you get the knowledge from that books which is good but if you buy a share of that company instead then you get profit in perpetuity from that company or until that company goes bankrupt.
Nowadays, you can buy fractional shares, so if a book cost $10. You can buy a fractional share for $10 instead.
