Lets vs Let’s Difference

Let mean to allow.

Let’s is the contraction of the word let and us. It’s use when you and someone are doing something together.

Examples:

Let’s go to the movie or let us go the movie.

Let’s go to the park or let us go the the park.

Lets is the third person singular present tense form of the verb let. Pay attention to singular.

Example:

The phone lets you talk with your friend from a long distance.

She lets the dog out.
