Water Fasting

People may water fast for many reason such as religious reasons, medical reasons, to lose fat, etc. Water fasting consist of only drinking water for a period of time. The period of time may varies. Also is only drinking water, not juice. Juice cleansing has it benefits, but it does not count toward water fasting.

I am not a doctor, this is just my opinion base of my understanding of water fasting.

The body use fat as energy. Fat is the body emergency fuel. If any food enter your body, your body would not use the fat. This includes any type of juice.

Some time people confuse cleanse, died and water fasting. Celery juice that’s not a fast, that’s a cleanse. Coconut juice is not a fast, that’s a diet. If you do not want to break the water fasting, you can only drink water and nothing else.

When you stop putting nutrients on your body and just drink water, your body will use fat and everything it have to survive, it’s call autophagy. That’s why people lose fat so fast when doing true water fasting.

Autophagy is the body’s way of cleaning out any damaged cells that the body may have, for the purpose of regenerate healthier and newer cells.

Water fasting is a great way to reset your body. The body self heal, it is a good way for getting rid of additions, it slow the body aging process, it improve mental clarity.

Insulin is a hormone produced in the pancreas which regulates the amount of glucose in the blood.

In simpler word when you eat something that has nutrients, the body release insulin and the reason that the insulin is release is to open up the body cells so it can receive the nutrients from the food so the body can use this food for energy.

Pay attention.

The body use either insulin or fat, not both. The moment the body release insulin, fat stop being use by the body. That’s why, when people want to lose weight extremely fast by doing water fasting, nothing but water can be drink.

Of course, if you not eating enough calories the body will burn fat. But the way it happens is that once you eat some food the body use that food as energy first, once it run out then the body start to use the fat in order to survive.

To anybody that would like to do water fasting, you should do your own research.

Some people like to go for days just drinking water.

Some people like to do intermedia fasting. Eating once per day or eating anything during 5 pm to 10 pm. By doing it this way the body have enough time rest and repair itself. Also the starving feeling is lessen.
