Gamification
Gamification is the attempt to enhance an activity in order to create similar events to those experienced when playing video games with the aim to engage and motivate the users.
You can add gamification to your life by adding progress and recognition.
Progress
The night before, you can do a list of all the things that you need to do for the next day. Each thing on the list is like a level in a video game. This is like an experience bar.
The things on the list needs to be organize from from easy first to most difficult last but it needs to be short. Meaning you should be able to accomplish it within 30 minutes of less.
In video games, the first levels are the easiest to get because it require the less experiences. You are trying to mimic real like activities to a video game.
Recognition
In video games when you level up there is some kind of recognition. Usually there is some kind of sound or animation to let you know that new skills or stats became available as a result of leveling up.
You can use the check mark as recognition.
That’s it.
Take a calculated risk.
Now, start and adjust as you go.
