My Amazon package stolen after delivery – Solved!
Yes, it happened to me, someone stole my packages , two items. As long as I can remember I have being ordering packages from amazon for a while and never I have had a problem like this before until now.
I lived in an apartment complex, a building that have multiple units. Two new people moved in not long ago next to each other and they appear to not get along.
How do I know? I have heard them making noises and arguing multiple times from inside my unit. Which is not a big deal to me. I put a sound proof headphone which greatly minimize noises and keep doing my own thing. I keep it to my self and not get involved.
I could not help my self but to wonder if one of them took the packages. Hey, I have being living here for years and this have never happened before, not that I can remember, but then they move in and this happened.
But that was just a thought of the many possible things that I thought could had happened
some of the things I thought are
- I thought , maybe someone drive or passed by the building, saw the packages and just took it
- Maybe a neighbor took it by mistake, thinking that they was his or her packages
- Maybe a new delivered driver have happy grabby hands
- maybe …

Anyway, I have amazon Prime, I logged into my amazon account, scroll down to customer service
click on something else
then click on I need more help
Answered some questions, until eventually I get to chat with an amazon agent.
I told the agent that someone stole my packages, they are missing.
The agent asked me if I wanted a refund, I replied that I prefer the items instead, the agent resent the items.
Problem was solved.
the conversation with the agent felt like it was for 1 to 2 minutes, really fast and helpful.
What I would do different for the future?
I few things i would do different to prevent this happening again
but first
If this were to happen again, I would ask for the refund instead and reorder the items myself.
usually it takes a couple of days for items to be delivery but the items that the agent resent, it would take 7 business day when I counted the days
Text delivery alert
Also, I always get a delivery email letting me know that my package was delivered, but I have to log into my email to be able to see it,
But you can have a text delivery alert to your phone too. So I activated it, so from now on every time a package gets deliver, I should get a text message letting me know that the package was delivered.
You can activate text package delivery alert by going to your account
Scroll down to Communication and content and click on Shipment updates via text
Click on Subscribe, you should be able to see a message “you are subscribed”
Track your package
You should keep and eyes on your packages by tracking them, click orders

You should be able to see the status of your package
To the person that stole my packages
It’s true that sometime bad things happens to good people. One of the things that people can do is prepare better for the future. So it doesn’t happen gain.
But it’s also true that way more bad things happens to bad people such as thieves. You see, there is this thing called Karma.
You do good things more good things happens to you, you do bad things more bad things happens to you.
