What Is SMTP?

SMTP mean simple mail transfer protocol.

SMTP allow you to send emails from an email client to a mail server.

POP and IMAP are protocols that allow you to retrieve emails from a mail server.

Email client example are outlook and windows live mail install on your pc.

Web mail client is gmail.com or yahoo.com that doesn’t require to be on your pc.

If you have an email at [email protected] this is consider a client.

Gmail has mail server and manage its server at its domain gmail.com
