What a better version of me would do?

We are making decisions every moment of our life. Some decisions are good for us and other decisions are not good for us. Today, I found myself asking what a better version of me would do. This is how today post came to mind.

I knew that needed to write a post, but today was one of those days. One of these days where you don’t feel like doing anything.

I washed my face and rise my mouth. Then I went to the kitchen and drank two glasses of water.

I was having some interesting thoughts. Thoughts about to just relax and not do anything. To just relax and enjoy a show or play a video game or go to sleep.

It was like one side of me was looking for an excuse to do not write a post and do anything else but writing the post.

Another side of me was fight back to convince me to write a post.

Then the thought came to me “what a better version of me would do?”

The better side of me took over the driver sit of this body of mine. I sat down and started typing.

This bring us to now.

Just start and adjust as you go

Sometime we know what we should be doing, but we try to find every excuse not to do it. Therefore, one of the best thing to do is just start and adjust as you go.

The most difficult part is starting. Once you start , the momentum will follow.

We tend to want to find out some kind of secret to help us improve our life. But I think there is no secret.

The reality is, you just need to start. It doe not have to be perfect. Once you started, you will later notice how silly it was to waste energy in thinking if you needed to start or not.

You will notice that once you start, things will become easier.

As I am typing these paragraph the word energy came to my mind or I noticed it. I highlighted it in this very paragraph and the paragraph above to show the word to you.

Now, I am able to write something about energy.

We have limited amount of Energy

A day have 24 hours. The average person stay awake for 16-18 hours per day. Therefore, the average person have enough energy to stay awake for that time.

Whether you like it or not. Your energy is limited and it will be depleted though out the day until you have rest to replenish it.

You kind of new that your energy is limited, the part of you that has awareness at this particular moment that you are reading this paragraph it’s aware of its energy limitation.

Since you have only a certain amount of energy per day. The best thing to do, is to first do the thing that you don’t want to do but that you know you should be doing.

This bring us to Habits

Maybe it’s just a habit!

If I remember correctly, on august 12, 2021 I started to write a blog post every day.


A few reasons, but one of the reason was that my writing skills are way below average. I wanted to improve it.

There are different skills of writers. There are above average writers, there are average writers, there are below average writers.

Then there is me.

So, I figured the best way to improve your writing skills is by writing. That’s what made sense to me at that time. So, I started writing a post everyday.

I don’t remember for how long it was supposed to be. Whether I did put a time period or not. At this point it does not matter.

Since, I started on august 12, 2021 and today is December 9, 2021. So this mean, its being almost four months since I started.

In just a few days on December 12, 2021 will be four moths since the day that I started writing a post everyday.

Wow, it feels like that time passed by really quick.

Some people say that it take about 30 days for a habit to be form, other people say that it takes about 66 days for a habit to be form.

Whatever it is, at this point maybe is just habit.

So when I felt like not doing anything earlier, maybe the habit of doing a post everyday was what I was fighting against.

This post was written without a template

Usually when you are writing something, it is better to have template. With a template is easier and faster.

Today, As you can see from the post, I just started writing.

When I started a few months a go was very difficult to write anything. Sometimes, I used to take a whole day from morning to night during the weekend to just write a few paragraph. That’s how bad it was.

Lately, with long post it’s being taking a few hours.

I still have a lot to improve and such much to learn. But slow and steady I’ll get there.

I don’t like to count the words, it takes the joy out of writing. I just write whatever I feel like writing that day. That’s why this blog is multi topics.

Today, I can write without much trouble. I usually start writing and by the time I am done. Usually the post is anything from 30 to 2000 words.

Some time the post is really short, some time the post is long.

One thing I learned later on after I started this blog was that you can actually schedule your post.

You see, I am writing this post today 12/09/2021, but this post won’t be publish until 12/17/2021.

I like that WordPress have the feature to do this because I can write as many post as I want if I want to and I can schedule it to any day I want to.

I feel like stopping writing now. What I would do now is proof read what I wrote multiple times then I’ll schedule It.

That’s it.

Take a calculated risk.

Now, start and adjust as you go.
